Målajord is an operational wind farm, located in the municipality of Växjö in Southern Sweden.

Målajord is an operational wind farm, located in the municipality of Växjö in Southern Sweden.

The Målajord wind farm, with a total installed capacity of 14.4 MW, consist of three 4.8 MW turbines of the model Nordex N149 and produces approximately 50 GWh of electricity per year. The project decreases greenhouse gas emissions by 6,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Målajord wind farm is 100 % owned by the Taaleri SolarWind I fund, managed by Taaleri Energia, a Finnish-based wind and solar developer and fund manager.

Construction work started in January 2020, and the wind farm has been fully operational since September 2021.

The wind farm has been developed by BayWa r.e., who are also providing Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services as well as Technical and Commercial Management services during the operational phase. Nordex will be responsible for maintaining the turbines under a 25-year contract.

Centrica is responsible for balancing management services for theproduction of the wind farm.
